Private Investigator Agency

Submit the renewal notice, appropriate fee and proof of current liability insurance.  If surety bond is on file, you do not need to submit proof of that again.

Unarmed or Armed Private Investigator

Submit the renewal notice and appropriate fee.

Certified Trainer Endorsement

• Agency Principals: Submit the renewal notice and appropriate fee
• Individual Licensees: The endorsement renewal fee is included on the renewal notice for the unarmed or armed investigator license. 

Renewal notices

Renewals notices are mailed 45-60 days prior to the expiration date. Renewal notices are a courtesy and it is the responsibility of the licensee to renew on time.

• If you do not receive an agency renewal notice, contact the Master License Service at (360) 664-1400 for a duplicate notice.
• If you do not receive an individual renewal notice, complete the private investigator application, mark the appropriate renewal box and submit the application with the fee.
